Completion Criteria for Workshop Portfolio Project
8 (or more) html documents with these criteria:

1. Index.html page: Introductory page with logo graphic and links to workshop components

  • Title
  • Logo Graphic
  • Statement of target audience
  • Statement of ISTE standards achieved with participation in your workshop
  • Links to workshop components:
    • Pre-workshop survey
    • Day 1 Agenda
    • Day 2 Agenda
    • Day 3 Agenda
    • Resource List
    • Materials or Software List
    • Quick Tips
    • Activity Instructions
    • Post-workshop survey (same as pre-workshop survey)
  • Page Properties modified to include:
    • Page Title
    • Background Color
  • Save as index.html in your [lastname] folder

2. Pre-workshop survey Set of questions that determine skill beginning skill level of participants (may use Likert scale or set of descriptions)

  • Title
  • Navigation Tools (toolbar that allows you to move to any of the other pages in the web site)
  • Page Properties modified to include:
    • Page Title
    • Background Color
  • List of questions with response measures
  • Save as survey.html in your [lastname] folder

3. Daily Agendas 3 html documents that include the following:

  • Title
  • Navigation Tools (toolbar that allows you to move to any of the other pages in the web site)
  • Page Properties modified to include:
    • Page Title
    • Background Color
  • Daily schedules with activities, links to web sites, links to detailed activity instruction, links to QuickTips, links to BrainCheck and Homework pages, links to optional lesson plan, links to rubric that evaluates participant skill acquistion--Additional pages may be created as needed to link to detailed activity instructions or templates--must include the following:
    • Time schedule
    • Warm up activities
      • Question for the day (optional)
    • Electronic Discussions-Reflection (may be a part of the warm-up activities)
    • 2-4 Activities per day: (Techie moments)
      • Sequenced to allow for skill development
      • Explanations of each activity
      • List of skills for each activity
      • Student handouts with each activity (these will be online resources, rather than print)
      • Rubrics to evaluate participant skill acquisition
      • Activity that makes connection to lesson plan development
      • Links to websites
    • BrainCheck (short skills quiz)
      • Covers all skills from skill list
    • Homework
      • research-oriented
    • Rubric for student creation of lesson plan using daily activities with content standards
    • Incentives:
      • Need 3-5 throughout workshop
      • Weather-incentive-optional
    • Sample lesson plans-optional
  • Save page agendas as agenda1.html, agenda2.html, agenda3.html in your [lastname] folder

4. Resource List List of related web sites used in the daily activities plus other valuable websites so the list contains at least 10 valuable resources related to activities in workshop:

  • Title
  • Navigation Tools (toolbar that allows you to move to any of the other pages in the web site)
  • Page Properties modified to include:
    • Page Title
    • Background Color
  • List of web sites (annotation helpful, but optional) activated and working properly
  • Save as resources.html in your [lastname] folder

5. Materials List Lists all materials (especially software) discussed in workshop with links to company websites

  • Page Properties modified to include:
    • Page Title

  • List of materials (annotation helpful, but optional) activated and working properly
  • Save as materials.html in your [lastname] folder

5. QuickTip Page “How-to” section with step-by-step directions for skill instruction

  • Title
  • Navigation Tools (toolbar that allows you to move to any of the other pages in the web site)
  • Page Properties modified to include:
    • Page Title
    • Background Color
  • List of skills used in the workshop with each skill linked to either another page that describes the step-by-step procedures or a Viewlet that demonstrates the procedures; links activated and working properly
  • Save as quicktips.html in your [lastname] folder

Each UL student has 20 MB of server space for the posting of webpages, etc. Directions for posting:
