10 Golden Rules for creating quality PowerPoint presentations:
1)6X6 rule: 6 words per point, 6 lines per slide
2)Don't use all caps: caps for headings, titles, emphasis
3)Consistent font & size for headings/text (36 title, 24 text)
4)Don't mix fonts -only 2 per presentation
5)Use San Serif for distance (Helvetica, Arial)
6)Colors limited to three (Don't use red and green together)
7)Text & background contrasting colors
8)Limit graphics to one or two per slide
9)Consistent transitions throughout
10)Keep it simple!

Locate and open MS PowerPoint
Create a new presentation (using the Wizard and without using the Wizard)
Add text boxes (change style, size, and color of text in text boxes)
Insert new slides
Apply design template to background
Insert clipart
Use slide view, outline view, and slide sorter view
Add Word Art
Animate text boxes and objects
Add transitions
Print handouts (3 slides per page)
Add sounds and movies
Save the file
Save the file for the web
