Basic Draw and Newsletter skills needed for this class:

Skills you need:

Locate and open AppleWorks draw document
Format the document with .5" margins
Format the correct number of pages across (1 for drag'n'drog and trading cards or 2 for bookguide)
Format the correct page layout (landscape for drag'n'drop and portrait for trading cards or bookguide)
Pull up the toolbar and the accent pallette (using Window>Show Tools or Window>Show Accents)
Create objects using the different draw tools
Move, resize, delete, duplicate, group, ungroup, regroup and layer objects
Fill objects with color, pattern, wallpaper, gradient
Change color or pattern of lines around objects
Use the clipart library (File>Show Clippings)
Create a text box object
Move, resize, delete, duplicate text box objects
Change font size, style, color within text box objects
Change fill color and pattern as well as line color and pattern of text box objects
Combine text and graphics into one object using the Arrange>Group command
Combine more than one graphic into one object using the Arrange>Group command
Use separate linked text frames to layout articles of text
One article split between columns using linked text frames
Graphics inserted into the text frames using text wrap
Create a watermark or behind-text graphic
Text of articles in text frames formatted with different font, font size, and font colors
Justify text in text frames
Create a newsletter banner with 3 objects grouped together: a rectangle shape, a graphic, and a text box that holds title and author of book as well as author of bookguide
